Week beginning 28th January – Ready, Steady – chop!
We have been learning about how to keep healthy and how to eat a balanced diet. We designed and made our own delicious rainbow pizza, salad and fruit skewer. The children all chopped, grated and peeled and tried some new foods (including radishes and avocado)! We’re not sure radishes will be on your shopping list very soon though…
We were incredibly grateful for your generous donations of food and time – we couldn’t have achieved so much without it – thank you!
This week we have been poets and written our own poems using rhyme (the same sound at the end of a word) and alliteration (the same sound at the beginning of a word). We are hoping to record some of these on the school radio!
In Maths, we have begun to explore multiplication and started using arrays. We will eventually link this to division too. Next week, we will be practicing some reading and maths quizzes.
Week beginning 21st January
We have had a marvelous week learning how to drum and find rhythm using a musical Boomwhacker. Find some pictures below.
